MEPs against Cancer

EUAA was invited and attended at the European Parliament the 10th anniversary of the European All-Party collaboration on cancer. The event was hosted by MEPs against Cancer (MAC) a European Parliament group.

European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Dr Vytenis Andriukaitis spoke at the event and reasserted the call to prevent cancer where possible and to add to the common effort and actions against cancer in the European Union.

MAC works together with the European Commission and Council in collaboration with numerous other organisations with a strategic goal to reduce cancer incidence by 15% by the year 2020, to promote cancer prevention, to reduce mortality by improving access to high quality treatment and care and to ensure better and higher quality of life for cancer patients and survivors.
