Short Bio:

• Madan is a genome biologist with a unique academic background and wide-ranging research interests. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the University of Cambridge, where his work provided the first evidence of widespread tissue-specific expression of actin genes in plants.
  He has held research fellowships at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Oncology, the MRC Cancer Cell Unit, and the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology.

  Madan pioneered single-cell and single-DNA molecule techniques to study genome dynamics and variation. He is the inventor of Molecular Copy Counting, a high-resolution method for detecting genomic variation in individual cells, with applications in aging, cancer, cardiovascular, metabolic, and inherited diseases.
